Interfaith Families at Or Hadash

Or Hadash welcomes families from diverse backgrounds, including families where one partner belongs to a different faith tradition. In keeping with our Reconstructionist principles, Or Hadash is fully open to interfaith families and non-Jewish congregants are valued members of our community, often taking volunteer and leadership roles.  Our interfaith havurot (interest groups) provide insight and support for blended families creating Jewish homes and raising Jewish children.  Reconstructionism also affirms that the child of any Jewish parent - mother or father - is Jewish.
