Or Hadash Mitzvah Day is coming up on Sunday, January 15th from 9:00 am - 11:15 am. Our SMILE school students would like to invite the entire community to join us as we turn the first floor of the shul into a major mitzvah machine! Activities have not been finalized yet, but in prior years the mitzvot included:
• Making toiletry kits for homeless people.
• Making breakfast bags for children.
• Making Jared Boxes for children undergoing treatment at CHOP.
• Making a Mitzvah Quilt from "mitzvah selfies".
• Creating a voice recording to be used by persons who have lost the gift of speech.
• Purchasing snacks/drinks to raise funds for improving access to our building.
Families and congrgants will be asked to please donate specific items for Mitzvah Day, watch this space!
