Join us for a joint Friday evening service on April 23rd at 8 PM at Congregation Temple Beth’El (Note: Friday evening services will not be held at Or Hadash that evening). Beth’El is a synagogue serving a primarily African-American Jewish community that joined us for services at Or Hadash last year, and we are now going to join them for services at their synagogue. Based on reactions from our joint service last October, as well as attendance at Beth’El by several smaller groups of Or Hadash members, this is likely to be an event you will not want to miss.
There is an optional dinner at 5:30 that all are welcome to attend. Please RSVP by next Tuesday to congtemplebethel@aol.com and indicate your choice of kosher chicken, fish, or vegetrarian ($10/adult; $5/children under 12). Following dinner we will join Temple Beth-El in their upstairs sanctuary for an 8:00 service (please note that this is a different time from previous information) in which our Makaylah and Rabbi Josh will be taking part.
Please observe Congregation Beth’El’s request that all women wear skirts and men wear jackets and ties while we are guests in their home.
