Shedding New Light on Jewish Traditions

Selichot

Bring a dinner dish to share, comfy movie watching outfit, and your readiness to turn the corner into the new Jewish year. Join us for a community movie night and discussion featuring the Pixar film, Soul (2020 – PG, 1hr 40min). We will conclude the evening with a musical Seliḥot* ritual of transition into the holiday season. RSVP link: http://tiny.cc/Selichot5784

*Selichot [se-lee-chot] are special prayers for forgiveness that are said on the Saturday night preceding Rosh Hashanah. The Selichot service contains well-known elements of the High Holiday liturgy and help prepare us for the awesome days to come.
