Adult Ed Update on Current Events in Israel

June 11, 2023 - 10:00am

Update on Current Events in Israel - Please join us at Or Hadash on Sunday morning June 11th from 10:00-11:30 am as we welcome Adina Vogel-Ayalon, Chief of Staff at J-Street since 2021.  Adina grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

Evening Torah Study

June 12, 2023 - 7:30pm

For congregants who are interested in learning more about Torah, lay-led Torah study will take place the second and fourth Mondays every month. The approach is entirely different than on Shabbat. It’s an enrichment program, where we’ve proceeded in depth verse by verse. A knowledge of Hebrew is helpful, but not necessary. For more information, please contact Marty Jacobs or Jeff Chebot. Open to all!

And now there is Torah Study via Zoom!

Summer Mussar

June 13, 2023 - 7:30pm

Summer Mussar (ethics based on Jewish texts) will be taking place for the 13th consecutive year at Or Hadash (on Zoom once more). These biweekly sessions are intended to be both maintenance for ongoing Mussar students as well as an introduction to Mussar for new students. This summer we will again be studying “Morality” by the late Rabbi Jonathan Sacks. The book describes how to lead a more meaningful life through accepting our responsibilities to others, to society, and to humanity.
