Etrog: A Rare and Revered Fruit - an adult education program

Aliza Green will be presenting a program about the history and culture of etrogim, a fascinating story that follows the etrog, the oldest of citrus fruits, brought by Jew settlers to their settlements throughout the Diaspora, starting before the time of the Roman Empire. Come hear Rabbi Mitchell Smith discuss his recently published book examining the connection between Jewish thought, practice  history,  ethics and sports.  Rabbi Smith is a graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and has a Ph. D in Educational Psychology. He is a nationally recognized  sport psychology consultant and is currently the Director of Sport Psychology Services at Florida Atlantic University.  He is the founder of the Center for Sport and Jewish LIfe.
