Friday Night Shabbat Havurah

January 26, 2018 - 6:30pm

Get in on the Spirit of Shabbat at Or Hadash

It's great to take a deep breath at the end of a long week and create a separation between the week and the weekend.  That's what Friday night Shabbat rituals help us do, create a Shabbat frame of mind.  How we get to that frame of mind is probably different for each of us, but for many it may include some version of a relaxed evening meal with friends, lots of talking and kibitzing, and some Shabbat rituals.

Erev Shabbat Services are held every Friday night from our Welcome Back evening until Memorial Day Weekend. During the summer (Memorial Day through and including Labor Day weekends), Or Hadash holds Erev Shabbat (Friday night) services every other week. That means that for Summer 2018 we WILL have services on June 1, 15 & 29, July 13 & 27, and August 10 & 24.  The first Friday night service after the Labor Day Weekend is our Welcome Back Picnic (Sept. 7).
